acting coaching

The hour-long session begins with lateral thinking, 10-20 mins. These are mental “warm ups” consisting of riddles, puns and picture puzzles. The remaining time we work on monologues (memorization required), sketches/improv, make-up, writing, or even camera work, depending on the student.  I will always yield to what the student wants to do, because of my 40+ years experience in the Arts, I can help in any discipline the student chooses.
For ages 5-18, hour-long sessions via Zoom or in-person, $100/hour

creative mentoring

For the extraordinarily artistic kids or ones who would benefit from creative self-esteem-building, Creative Mentoring is the answer.  First, we’ll activate innate creative energies utilizing lateral thinking (challenging riddles, clever puns and intriguing picture puzzles) until we are ready to advance with appropriate stage and media monologues, invigorating sketches and improvisations, putting dialogue on paper as a playwright, on-camera techniques, and various acting disciplines tailored to the child’s strengths. Choose your passion and customize your creative training!
For ages 5-18, hour-long sessions via Zoom or in-person, $100/hour

“My child fell in love with theater after joining an after-school club with Michael LoSasso at his elementary school. He went on to star in the school play in 5th grade, attended Michael’s Y.E.S. summer camps, and also took private coaching lessons with Michael each week. Michael was an absolute inspiration to our son. Unlike most activities at the time, he actually looked forward to his lessons with Michael each and every week. Michael found a way to ignite curiosity and spirit in my son, and he creatively designed his lessons around my son’s of-the-moment interests, from magic tricks to creepy stories to comedy. Michael was much more than an acting coach to our child. He was a life coach at a time when our son really needed one… the transition to middle school was undoubtedly so much smoother for having had him in our life. HIGHLY recommend!”
